Moribo 2 to end
Moribo 2 coming to an end in the new year. Season 2 afforded more than 150 artists an opportunity to publicize themselves through interviews, profiles, live performances and music videos. Phuzekhemisi's new album debuted on the show, we unearthed Kopano ke Matla from Klerksdorp and travelled to Robben Island for the announcement of the South African Traditional Music Awards.
Music video production are really crust of the format. We film 26 videos every season, putting time and effort into elevating the production value. Each epuisode is filmed at culturally themes locations such as Cultural Villages and Lodges across the country. Stay tuned to this blog as we will be announcing dates for season 2.
Woman II Woman to start in July
SABC 2's brand new woman's talk show WOMAN II WOMAN is set to premier in July 2010. The series which Leaps Media will produce together with Nelspruit based Black Child Productions is aimed at ordinary women. It will be filmed mostly outside Johannesburg with some of the elements shot at Henley Studios.
Auditions for the presenters will be conducted in various cities during the month of March. We will announce the dates in due course. TV Production legend Ailsa Tulloch will be working working with us as Executive Producer on the project. Ailsa's AlCat Productions are the producers of SABC 1's SHIFT and you might remember her from successful shows such as Mojo. Keep the checking the blog for more info on WOMAN II WOMAN.
Bahle staying @ Leaps
Bahle Makhhliso arrived at Leaps in mid 2009 as an intern on Moribo. A journalism student in Durban Bahle was one of the attendants at the Bafundi Film Festival where she bumped into Noma. Her role in the production was always instrumental, then she suddenly found herself on the spot when she was appointed Production Coordinator. Needless to say that she pulled off an excellent performance.
She will now be a permanent face at Leaps starting January 4th. Check in on the 8th for a more in depth expose on what she is about.
